Application of nano-silica in epoxy resin:

1. Heat resistance: Since the nano silica particles have a large specific surface area, the interface with the epoxy group has a strong bonding effect, absorbs a large amount of impact energy, and increases the rigidity of the matrix, so the nano silica particles are within a certain range. Reinforced and toughened epoxy resin, while also improving the heat resistance of the material.

2. Enhanced toughening effect: Due to the addition of nano-silica particles, the impact strength, tensile strength and elongation at break of epoxy resin composites are greatly improved within a certain range, which indicates that nano-silica The particles play a role in strengthening and toughening. It highlights the excellent filling properties of nano-scale silica, which has greatly improved the material properties.

 

Instructions:

The dried and dehydrated nano-silica is added to a solvent in which a coupling agent is dissolved under stirring, and then treated by milling, high-speed shearing, ball milling, sanding, ultrasonic wave or the like for several tens of minutes. Under stirring, the above solution and epoxy resin were uniformly mixed, the solvent was removed, and the temperature was raised to 130 ° C to react the coupling agent with the epoxy resin for 1 h. After cooling, a stoichiometric curing agent is added, uniformly mixed, evacuated and degassed, poured into a steel mold coated with a release agent and preheated, and then completely cooled by a programmed temperature and then cooled and stripped.

 

Add amount:

The recommended addition amount is 100:5 ratio of epoxy resin to nano-silica. Customers can also choose the appropriate addition ratio according to their actual situation.

 

Dispersion of nano silica:

Due to the small size of the nanoparticles, high surface activity, easy to agglomerate and lose the effect of strengthening and toughening the polymer, the nanoparticles should be fully dispersed when preparing the nanoparticle-filled composite. Milling, high-speed shearing, ball milling, sanding, ultrasonic treatment, etc. will help the dispersion of nanoparticles in the resin.

Due to the high surface energy of the nanoparticles, the adsorption is strong, it is easy to aggregate, and it is difficult to disperse uniformly and stably. Therefore, we use the methods of milling, high-speed shearing, ball milling, sanding, ultrasonic wave and coupling agent to promote the nanometer. Uniform dispersion of silica in epoxy resin.

According to the monolayer theory of the coupling agent, the particle size is decreased, the amount of the coupling agent is increased, and the ratio of the mass of the silane coupling agent to the nano silica is 5/100.
